Jura Deposit
£100.00

Following on from a great two years staying in one place, this year we are taking the Rank Alpine cycle trip from point to point, staying at a different and quintessentially French hotel every night. Starting and finishing in Geneva we will go Northwards into the Jura. The old mountains. It was here that the first fossils were found, hence Jurassic.

Over the 4 days, we will loop around and down towards Chambery before heading back up to Geneva through the beautiful routes around Lake Annecy. These are the foothills of the Alps and you will not only see and ride in amongst  some of the most stunning mountain scenery, but ride alongside two of the most beautiful lakes in the region.

The routes will be challenging but perfectly doable with the added options to tackle some bigger climbs for the more enthusiastic. These will not be compulsory, but you can be assured they will be an achievement if you choose to take them on. It  would not be a Rank cycling trip without the chance to sample the local cuisine, relaxed company, the odd cheeky beverage and some classic coffee stops all amongst some the most famous cycling peaks. This trip has the option to pit your wits (and legs) against the Grand Colombiere and Semnoz climbs,  both of which are ascents (and descents) that have been pivotal in recent Tour de France routes.

It’s a classic route with the guarantee of  surprises around every corner.
